'Junk history': Claims that Adolf Hitler, left, and his partner Eva Braun, right, fled Germany and survived in Argentina have been branded 'utter nonsense' by a leading historian. Communist dictator Joseph Stalin led the Soviet Union to victory in World War II and employed brutal tactics that resulted in the deaths of millions. He never mentioned his rationale for the order; guesses include Hermann Göring's assurance that the Luftwaffe could complete the destruction of the BEF, and Hitler's reluctance to risk his valuable panzers in the unfriendly marsh terrain of neighboring Flanders. One of the keys to understanding both the rise of Nazism and the later persecution of some homosexuals by the Nazis is found in this early history of the German “gay rights” movement. For it was the CS In The Order of the Death's Head, author Heinz Hohne writes that Roehm met Hitler at a meeting of a socialist terrorist group called the Iron Fist and “saw in Hitler the demagogue he required to mobilize mass support for his secret army” (Hohne:20). From the years of 1939-1945 the SS (part of the Nazi army) were responsible for deaths of 11-14 million people which included about 2/3s of the European Jewish population or 6 million people.
